Open Fronted Eco Robin Nest Box Black
The Eco Robin Box combines recycled plastic and wood to create a unique and innovative box that will last for years whilst providing a comfortable bird nest box. This is an open-fronted nest box which is also ideal for other birds such as wrens, pied wagtails and spotted flycatchers. The box consists of a weatherproof outer shell made from UV-stabilised 100 recycled plastic. Inside is a wooden nesting chamber to provide the ideal environment for birds to nest in. The precision cut outer shell uses an ingenious system of tabs to hold it together further extending the lifespan with no fixings holding the weatherproof shell together that could rust or degrade over time.Internally there is a removable wooden nesting chamber with drainage holes for the birds to nest in. This is constructed from Oriented Strand Board, which is made from flakes obtained from wood waste or from saplings thinned from forests to make space for larger trees. If you need to check or clean the box its simply a case of twisting the fastening at the bottom and the wooden nesting chamber slides out. Fixing to a wall or tree is easy, with three concealed mounting holes in the back of the box. Often this is the only fixing needed, but a further hole is provided at the base for use when necessary.
